meyer 911 call http://www.charliessports.com
"My husband's having chest pains," Shelley Meyer calmly told the 911 operator. "He's having chest pains. He just woke up in the middle of the night saying he was having chest pains."
The call contradicts the University of Florida's original claim that Meyer was taken to the hospital for dehydration.
During the call, there are points when his wife is not even sure if Meyer is coherent.
"Is he completely alert?" asked the 911 operator.
"Urban, Urban, can you talk to me please? No, he's not talking to me," said Meyer.
"So he's not completely alert?" asked the operator.
"I can't tell," said Meyer.
Shelley Meyer also told dispatchers that Meyer may not have been alert because he had taken the prescription sleep-aid drug Ambien.
Last weekend Meyer announced he was resigning his position as head coach and then changed his mind a day later, and announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from coaching duties following the Sugar Bowl.
